Just 30 kilometres from Marrakech, the Ourika Valley is the perfect setting for a nature escape far from the bustle of the city. Nestled in the High Atlas, this verdant valley charms with its magnificent scenery, authentic Berber villages and refreshing waterfalls.
Along the way, you will pass through traditional Berber villages, where you can visit a typical home and share mint tea with a local family. You will also have the opportunity to visit a cooperative producing argan oil.
Once you reach the village of Sidi Fatma, a guided hike of around 1 hour 30 minutes leads you to the seven waterfalls of Ourika. After the hike, many riverside restaurants serve traditional tagines, to be savoured with your feet in the water.
